Welcome to the Orangeburg District! We consist of 18 congregations located in Orangeburg and Calhoun counties. As a part of the Seventh Episcopal District of the African Methodist Episcopal Church, we have a single mission. That mission is to minister to the spiritual, intellectual, physical, emotional, and environmental needs of all people by spreading Christ’s liberating gospel through word and deed. We are one church with one mission, and we seek to utilize all the resources God makes available to us. We carry out God’s will and the mission of our church in keeping with our core values. These values guide all our relationships, our words, and our deeds.

I am grateful to Bishop Green for this opportunity to serve within his Presiding Elder’s Council. As Presiding Elder, I provide supervision, spiritual support, and ministry resources for pastors of each congregation.  I take this call as a sacred trust and I am committed to leading a life that is well-pleasing to the Lord. I am further committed to your spiritual development and growth and desire to pursue only those things which enhance your growth and development.

I encourage your participation in the ministry of the Orangeburg District through presence, giving, and service.

  • Your presence is a testimony to the fellowship enjoyed by those who belong to the body of Christ. As the Scripture says, do not forsake the assembling of yourself and to praise God in His sanctuary.

  • Your giving represents that God takes priority in your life and it further represents the place of your heart with God. Christ says where your heart is, so is your treasure.

  • Your service represents your commitment to Christ to make disciples and to continue the work of Christ on earth.

God is working in the lives of the members of the Orangeburg District. We yield to all that He has for us in this season!
